This chest exhibits distinctive features common to a larger Shenandoah County group that include clock cases and corner cupboards as well as chests of drawers. These characteristics include the shape of the feet and apron, the inlay patterns utilizing half rounds, serpentine stringing and small flowers, and the case construction. Research has yet to reveal the identity of the maker(s) or exact shop location.
