Lucretia ‘Creasie’ Bevins was married 21 April 1847 in Pike County, Kentucky to Henry ‘Dutch’ Smith. The 1850 census records that they had two children, Malinda, age 2 and a newborn son, James. Lucretia was born 24 May 1833 in Clay County, Kentucky to Thomas Bevins and Elizabeth Porter. She was recorded on various family genealogical records as Lucretia, Lucinda, Lucresy and Lucinda with most census records showing her as Lucretia (or some variant) and her children, in their marriage records, show her as Lucretia.
