The Evans shop and its output is discussed in the “Career and Work of David Evans” by Eleanor P. Gadsden in American Furniture 2001. It is illustrated on page 73, figure 10. It demonstrates, notes Gadsden, that the Evans shop’s capacity to produce sturdy, well designed furniture. Secondary woods are tulip poplar and white pine.
